President Obama concluded his two-day trip to the West Coast with a visit to Reno, Nevada where he spoke about his homeowner refinancing plan.
He met with local residents Val and Paul Keller who have personally benefited from the refinancing changes the President announced last October.
As part of his “To Do List” for Congress, the President has been urging lawmakers to cut red tape so that responsible homeowners who have been paying their mortgages on time can refinance at today’s lower rates.
According to the White House, refinancing applications have increased 50 percent nationwide since the President’s announcement last fall.
