President Addresses Tax Cuts and Jobs

Washington, DC
Friday, August 3, 2012

President Obama delivers remarks on jobs and tax cut legislation at the White House. He urges congress to pass legislation preventing the expiration of the Bush era tax cuts which take place at the end of the year.

The President's plan would extend tax-cuts for all American families on their first $250,000 of income per year. He is asking Congress to discontinue the tax breaks for high-earners, saying that the 2 percent of wealthy Americans need to "pay their fair share" on income beyond that mark.
