President Obama sppoke at a campaign event in Charlottesville, Va., on Wednesday at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion.
On Tuesday, he held two grassroots events with students in Iowa and Colorado, focusing on the differences between his plan and that of Republican Candidate Mitt Romney for growing the middle class.
He began his tour at Iowa State University in Ames and later spoke in Fort Collins, Colorado., at Colorado State University.
Throughout the campaign, the President has emphasized that he believes that a college degree is a necessity for growing the middle class, and has focused on his plans for ensuring that college remains affordable, and that the economy continues to add jobs for graduates as they come out of school.
The Republicans are holding their convention in Tampa, Fla., this week. In the past, the opposing campaign has been quiet during the other party's convention, but in at least the last two cycles, this tradition has disappeared.
