President Obama traveled to Scranton, PA, today where he continued to tout an extension for the payroll tax cut. The President’s visit was hosted by students and facility at Scranton High School.
The payroll tax cut is set to expire on December 31 and both GOP and Democrat leaders have expressed openness to extending the cuts.
Following his trip to Scranton, Pres. Obama will travel to New York this evening to attend several campaign events.
Scranton is the childhood home of Vice President Biden and was frequently visited by Presidential candidates in 2008. Pennsylvania is also expected to be a key state in the 2012 Presidential election.
