President Obama Urges Support for His Tax Plan

Redford, Michigan
Monday, December 10, 2012

President Obama traveled to the Daimler Detroit Diesel plant in Redford, Michigan, where he spoke about the importance of a strong middle class and called on Congress to sign legislation that will avoid the so-called "fiscal cliff."

The President said he wanted a tax code that rewards companies for creating jobs and pointed to Daimler's $120 million investment that will create 115 new jobs. He warned that all Americans will see their taxes rise if Congress doesn't act and he encouraged legislators to maintain tax cuts on the first $250,000 of income.
