Both houses of Congress are in session this weekend for the ongoing debt ceiling negotiations. In his weekly address, President Obama urged both Democrats and Republicans to resolve their differences and pass legislation he can sign by Tuesday to reduce the deficit, and avoid a default and the downgrading of the nation’s credit rating.
Then, Republican Senate Whip Jon Kyl gives his party’s weekly address and also warns of the consequences of not meeting the August 2nd deadline for raising the nation’s debt ceiling.
