Presidential Inaugurations of the Past 60 Years

From Harry Truman's 1949 inaugural to President George W. Bush's swearing-in and speech from 2001, tonight we see and hear the presidents of the last 60 years on the day they officially took office.

Presidents take the oath of office and deliver their inaugural speeches at noon on January 20th of the year following their election.

Our coverage features Universal newsreels, footage from the Senate Recording studio and Presidential libraries supplementing our own C-SPAN recordings.
