Republican Study Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) expressed his confidence that Republicans would push through many of their budget cut proposals while the House debates the Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government.
After the November elections showed public support of GOP-promised cuts there could be “no way Democrats can agree to the current spending levels” maintained the representative. Even though the two sides may not differ on the $100 billion in cuts the Republicans are seeking, Rep. Jordan said that the CR will see some savings.
