During her weekly legislative briefing, House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi says Democrats won’t suffer at the polls in light of President Obama’s statement Wednesday on same-sex marriage, saying his support “filled my heart with joy” and was “more important than political consequences.”
She also talked about the ongoing budget debate and disagreement over how to pay for cuts in student loan interest rates.
