House Budget Committee Ranking Member Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), said Wednesday that he has a good personal relationship with Paul Ryan his Committee Chairman and Romney’s newly announced running mate, but that he also has “very deep and fundamentally differences on where we should go in this country” with him.
He made these remarks at a Politics and Eggs breakfast in New Hampshire. Politics and Eggs, which began in 1996, is a regular stop for presidential candidates and their surrogates. John McCain, Joe Biden, John Kerry, George W. Bush and Al Gore are among the past participants.
This event took place at the Bedford Village Inn in Bedford, New Hampshire and was organized by the New England Council and The New Hampshire Institute of Politics & Political Library at Saint Anselm College.
