In a press conference that took place in New York, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY), announced that he will resign from congress. Last week he acknowledged sending explicit photos of himself to women he had communicated with online.

He again apologized to his family and constituients for what he had done and took full responsibility.

Weiner also said that he would liked to have continued to serve the country in congress, but because of what he had done and the distractions it has caused, he could no longer serve.
