After winning primaries in Wisconsin, Washington, DC and Maryland, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney spoke at the American Society of News Editors (ASNE) and Newspaper Association of America Luncheon.
In his speech, he criticized Obama's record, saying that Obama Administration policies made the economic crisis worse and slowed recovery.
In a Q&A with Ken Paulson of ASNE, Romney said that President Obama’s remarks yesterday were “full of distortions and inaccuracies." He also answered questions about Iran, the gender gap with the GOP and democratic parties and Shield Laws to protect confidential sources.
Yesterday, President Obama denounced the House Republican budget plan at the Associated Press Luncheon and criticized the Republican front-runner by name for the first time.
The Romney campaign has said that they plan to start raising money jointly with the Republican National Committee.
