Rules Cmte. Meets on GOP Tax Cut Proposal

The House Rules Committee met to decide on the rule which will bring up the legislation that House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) outlined on Tuesday dealing with the expiration of the Bush era tax cuts.The Speaker proposed that there will be no tax increase for those who's income is less that $1 million.

Negotiations continue between congress and the President on taxes and budget cuts which will automatically take place on January 1.

The Committee also decided on floor debate on the conference report on the Defense authorization bill.
