The Woodrow Wilson Center hosts a discussion on "Defining American Priorities in the Middle East.."
Speakers examined how the U.S. prioritizes its objectives in the Middle East and whether it's realistic to think about solutions to problems in the region, or if managed outcomes are more relevant.
Participants included: Ellen Laipson, president and CEO of The Stimson Center; Robert Malley, program director for the Middle East and North Africa at the International Crisis Group; Marwan Muasher, vice president for studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; and Aaron David Miller, vice president for new initiatives and distinguished scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center.
