Secretary of State Hillary Clinton holds a joint press conference at the State Department, Tuesday, with Mexican Foreign Secretary Patricia Espinosa.
She spoke about the attack in Benghazi, Libya, that took the lives of four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens. She reiterated that compound security is of the highest priority for foreign installations and said that the FBI is working inside Libya on the investigation.
She also emphasized that there are extremists that are working to take advantage of broad outrage, both inside the middle eastern countries affected by the protests, and outside of them.
Secretary Clinton is expected to meet with members of Congress later this week regarding the recent violence and protests in the Middle East and other areas targeting U.S. Embassies.
Portions of this joint news conference are in Spanish.
