Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) held a news conference to discuss the payroll tax cut extension legislation which was agreed to on Thursday. Part of the agreement was that the Senate would name conferees who would meet with House conferees to work on a one year extension of the payroll tax legislation. Sen. Reid named the following Democratic Senators to the conference committee: Max Baucus (MT), Ben Cardin (MD), Jack Reed (RI) and Bob Casey (PA)
