The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee held an oversight hearing on the impact of Hurricane Sandy, focusing on the local perspective.The Committee heard from from Senators and House members whose states had storm damage due to the superstorm.
The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Subcommittee on Surface Transportation and Merchant Marine Infrastructure, Safety and Security will hold hearings on Hurricane Sandy next week.
Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) chaired the hearing.
