Senate Confirmation Hearing on the Consumer Product Safety Commission Nominee

Pres. Obama's nominee to chair the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Inez Moore Tenenbaum, appeared before the Senate Commerce Cmte. Pres. Obama has promised to double funding for the agency & add two new Commissioners. The former South Carolina Ed. Superintendent will have a budget of $107 million to police unsafe products.
