Senate Judiciary Cmte. Meeting on Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan

The Senate Judiciary Committee met to discuss the nomination of Elena Kagan to be the next Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. The committee decided to delay the vote on her nomination by one week. The committee allows any member to request this delay. If confirmed, she would replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens and become the fourth woman in the Supreme Court's history.
