Senators Discuss the Situation in Syria

Washington, DC
Thursday, December 6, 2012

A bipartisan group of Senators Thursday expressed support for the Obama Administration’s latest warning to the Assad regime over the use of biological weapons in Syria. South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham told reporters he would support a “use of force resolution” to prevent Syria’s government from using chemical or biological weapons on its own people.

U.S. intelligence officials Wednesday said the Syrian military had loaded the precursor chemicals for sarin, a deadly nerve gas, into aerial bombs.
