The State Department hosts the third annual session of the U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and India’s Minister of External Affairs discuss the partnership between the two countries, regional security, and defense.
The two leaders are expected to talk on issues relating to Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The U.S. exempted India, along with six other nations, from economic sanctions after they significantly reduced their imports of Iranian oil. Secretary Clinton and the Minister will make brief remarks and later hold a joint press conference this afternoon.
