State Supreme Court Justices Discuss Business Influence on Courts

Washington, DC
Monday, August 13, 2012

The Center for American Progress hosts a discussion with Justice James Nelson of the Montana Supreme Court and Oliver Diaz, a former Mississippi Supreme Court Justice on "how big business is taking over state courts."

According to the organizer, 95% percent of cases in America are heard in state courts. The two state supreme court justices will address the effects that corporate interest money is having over the judiciary, and the role of Citizens United in courtrooms today and for the future.
