Conservative congressional leaders and Tea Party organizers presented a petition with more than 150,000 signatures calling on GOP leaders to oppose President Obama's plan to tax those making over $250,000.
The TeaParty.net has been gathering signatures over the past two years. They delivered the petition at a press event held in the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, DC.
Speakers included: TheTeaParty.net's founder, Todd Cefaratti, and Chief Strategist, Dustin Stockton; former congressman J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ); National Spokesperson of Congress of Racial Equality, Niger Innis; Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA); Rep. John Fleming (R-LA); and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).
