Rep. Paul announces exploratory committee

Washington, DC
Tuesday, April 26, 2011

With the Iowa Caucuses 10 months away, Texas Republican Congressman Ron Paul is the latest hopeful to announce the launch of his exploratory committee. He made the announcement at a press conference from Des Moines, Iowa earlier this afternoon.

C SPAN is visiting radio stations in Iowa this week to hear what local Iowans think about the candidates and the upcoming presidential campaign.

Today, C SPAN aired the Jan Mickelson Show. The program is based out of Des Moines, Iowa. Mickelson took listener calls about the 2012 presidential race and Iowa caucuses. Conversation also focused on the role corn subsidies that Iowa receives from the federal government play on the national stage.

Tomorrow, we will cover the Iowa Public radio show The Exchange.

And finally on Thursday, we will head to Davenport, Iowa for the Jim Fisher Show. The radio program is based out of WOC radio. C SPAN will simulcast LIVE from 3pm to 6:30pm ET.
