Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner called the debate over raising the debt limit “theater” and said he’s confident the $14.3 trillion limit will be raised before the August 2 deadline. In an interview with Politico’s Mike Allen, the Secretary also agreed that unemployment and the housing market continue to suffer.
