The event begins with Zoe Baird Budinger talking with one of the pioneers of the digital age Padmasree Warrior. In a conversation titled "Science, Technology, and US Competitiveness," the Chief Technology and Strategy Officer at Cisco discusses the physical infrastructure of the internet and future strategies for mobile technology.
Then, moderator Walter Isaacson sits down with Google and Twitter CEO’s for a conversation titled "Reflections on Technology and its Impact on Democracy Around the World."
Twitter CEO Dick Costolo shares his thoughts on the impact and future of technology. He details his effects of his industry on the world ranging from social media censorship in other countries to use of twitter during the Olympics. Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt also participates in the discussion and offers his company's unique approach to emerging technologies.
