U.N. Secretary General Addresses General Assembly on the Situation in Syria

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon addressed the general assembly for a special session on the violence and political unrest in Syria.  

He reported that U.N. monitors were shot at with small arms while en route to a new site where Syrians were killed.  Speaking after the Secretary General was Joint Special Envoy to Syria Kofi Annan, who also condemned the recent violence and admitted that the six-point plan was not working. The Arab League’s Secretary General and an official from the U.N. Human Rights office also delivered remarks.
