Vice President Joe Biden spoke at the 103rd annual NAACP Convention in Houston, Texas.
The Vice President gave the keynote speech at the final plenary session of the civil rights group's convention. This is the first time that he has addressed the NAACP as Vice President.
“This is an important election year and communities of color will play a huge role in deciding the outcome in any number of races across the country. As such, we are pleased that both major political parties will be represented at this year’s convention,” NAACP President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous said in a statement.
Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney addressed the convention on Wednesday.
