On April 14th, 1865, President Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln attended a performance at Ford’s Theater in Washington, DC. Actor and Confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth went to Ford’s Theatre and shot President Lincoln.

On the morning of April 15th, 1865, President Lincoln died from the previous night’s attack. John Wilkes Booth was found and killed on April 26th, 1865.

Historian Anthony Pitch leads a tour around Washington, DC of sites associated with the Lincoln assassination, including the White House, Ford’s Theatre and Mary Surratt’s Boarding House.
