Washington Ideas Forum Looks at the Media, the Election & the Obama Legacy

This afternoon, the fourth annual Washington Ideas Forum hosted a series of discussions and interviews on key issues that played out in last week's election and how they will shape the coming year as President Obama prepares for a second term in the White House.

Discussion topics included: "Media and messaging on a campaign"; "The role of super PACs and big money in the election"; "Women in the Senate"; "The Obama Legacy"; "American strategic competitiveness"; and "New media's role in the election."

Presenters and interviewees included: Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA); Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN); FCC Chair Julius Genachowski; Microsoft Chair Bill Gates; economist Douglas Holtz-Eakin; and other notable political advisors, journalists and strategic thinkers.

The Washington Ideas Forum was sponsored by The Atlantic; the Aspen Institute and the Newseum.
