RNC Chairman Michael Steele is running for re-election and is facing challenges from four other candidates.

Ari Berman, Author, “Herding Donkeys” & The Nation, Contributing Writer relates how the Democratic base and grassroots activists feel about President Obama on a range of policy priorities, such as his role in the aftermath of the Tucson shootings, and how he should work with the Republican-controlled House. He also talks about his new book, “Herding Donkeys: The Fight to Rebuild the Democratic Party and Reshape American Politics.”

Brent Bozell, Media Research Center, Founder & President gives his thoughts on media coverage after shootings in Tucson, AZ and the call by some to re-institute the Fairness Doctrine (the 1949 policy requiring broadcasters to present controversial issues in an equitable and balanced manner. The FCC abolished the policy in 1987).

David Welch, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Staff Writer discusses the current situation of the car industry, impact the auto show will have on the Detroit economy and reports that Ford will be hiring thousands of employees over the next couple of years.
