Topic: How the nation’s population is expected to over the next half-century.  This week, the Census Bureau released a report with projections showing a considerably older and more racially and ethnically diverse nation by 2060.  These population projections by age, sex, race and Hispanic origin, are the first set of population projections based on the 2010 Census.  We’ll also discuss policy ramifications of this population growth, including government spending on social programs, immigration, politics, and the effect of the 2008-09 recession.
