Topic:  The Institute of Medicine has come out with a new report, “Accelerating Progress in Obesity Prevention: Solving the Weight of the Nation”. Dan Glickman is chairman of the panel that wrote the report, which makes recommendations for reducing obesity and what the role of the federal government, employers and schools should be in the process.

Gary Johnson, Libertarian Presidential Candidate & Former New Mexico Governor (R), 1995-2003

Topic:  Guest will discuss his Presidential campaign on the Libertarian Party ticket and his view of the current two party system and obstacles for third party candidates.

Elizabeth Greico, U.S. Census Bureau, Foreign Born Population Branch Chief and Audrey Singer, Brookings Institution, Metropolitan Policy Program Senior Fellow
            
Topic:  An examination of who is the foreign-born population in the United States:   how many there are; where are they from; where do they live now; statewide populations; their employment status and health insurance coverage; the recently arrived; and those who have children under 18 and living in inter-generational  households.  We will also discuss the recent leveling off of immigration from Mexico; we will also discuss immigration-related issues such as visa allotment, the naturalization & citizenship process, border security, and worksite issues.
