Josh Kraushaar, Hotline, Executive Editor discusses how Republican governors are challenging the White House on everything from health care, rejecting federal money for high-speed rail, and going after the Democratic Party's bedrock constituency—unions. He also speculates on how all this is setting the stage for the 2012 president election.

Maggie Gallagher, National Organization for Marriage, Board Chair & Brian Moulton, Human Rights Campaign, Chief Legislative Counsel talks about efforts by House Republicans to defend the law that forbids federal recognition of same-sex marriages – the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). The Obama administration said recently it would no longer defend the law in court. National Organization for Marriage’s Maggie Gallagher is against same-sex marriage. Brian Moultrie of the Human Rights Campaign supports it.

Pat Dalton, Government Accountability Office, Chief Operating Officer goes over a recent GAO report, which found that there are more than 100 programs dealing with surface transportation issues, 82 that monitor teacher quality, 80 for economic development, 56 for "financial literacy," 20 offices or programs devoted to homelessness and 17 grant programs for disaster preparedness.
