Topic: Charlottesville, VA is the first city in the United States that has passed a resolution against unmanned surveillance drones.  Guest will discuss what led to the bill, what it accomplishes and reaction from those in the City and Governor.

Topic: Guest will discuss current efforts by states and localities to impose legal limits on the use of domestically based unmanned surveillance drones.  He will discuss current federal laws that cover drones and if they are enough to keep pace with technology plus new attempts in Congress to further expand privacy protections.  The Association supports defense, civil and commercial sectors.

Topic: A look at the Brain Activity Map Project proposed by Pres. Obama during his State of the Union address.  Guest, who was one of six scientists who proposed some new approaches for mapping the brain, will discuss what the project could mean for diseases like Alzheimer’s & Parkinson’s.
