Topic: The debate on climate change following the release this week of a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration report which found that 2012 was the hottest year on record for the contiguous 48 states and the second-worst in terms of extreme weather events like tornadoes, wildfires and drought.  NOAA scientists added that they expect to see continued significant heat and rain events and more drought.
