Craig Holman,  Public Citizen, Government Affairs Lobbyist

Adam Stryker, Americans for Prosperity, Nevada State Director

Topic: The Americans for Prosperity Foundation is hosting the 5th annual RightOnline Conference in Las Vegas this weekend (Friday & Saturday). A gathering of social media personalities and bloggers, the conference aims to promote conservative principles using the internet and social media tools. Guest will discuss this year’s conference, featured speakers, including Sarah Palin, and how this group views their party’s nominee for President, Gov. Romney.

John Norton Moore, Former Chairman, Nat’l Security Council, Task Force on Law of the Sea, 1973-76

Topic: Two Senate hearings were held this week on the United Nations Law of the Sea Treaty.  The treaty, which came into force in 1994, gives guidelines in the areas of business operations, environmental concerns and marine natural resources management.  While 162 countries have signed it, the United States has not, particularly over concerns about a part of the agreement which would create an international agency that oversees mining operations in the ocean seabed and require the payment of royalties, which in turn would be redistributed to other countries.
