Topic: Rugaber provides analysis of the February jobs numbers that came out yesterday. 236,000 jobs were added in February and the unemployment rate dropped to 7.7%. He also discusses what the numbers mean for the overall trend of the U.S. economy, etc.

Topic: MacCracken discusses his organization’s efforts to engage young people on a national level about a variety of issues including the national debt, fiscal responsibility, college affordability and youth voter turnout. Last week, student body presidents from various colleges who are members of NCLC were on Capitol Hill where they met with both Republican and Democratic offices.

Topic: This week, government sponsored housing lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac announced a joint venture which some report could lead to the end of government involvement in the two companies.  $131 B in federal funds have been spent since the government took them over 5 years ago. Rossi discusses the new venture and the future of Freddie and Fannie.
