Topic: Guest will discuss the privacy of emails especially when a federal investigation is involved.  The current Electronic Communications Privacy Act gives the FBI and other agencies a great deal of authority in gaining emails in connection with federal investigations.  Guest will discuss his concerns with how federal authorities gain access to emails and if current electronic privacy laws have to be updated.

Topic: Republicans and Democrats have proposed taxing CO2 emissions as a way to raise revenue for the Treasury.

Topic: This week, the House Energy & Commerce Committee held a hearing on the recent meningitis outbreak that killed 32 people from contaminated drugs supplied by a Massachusetts-based “compounding pharmacy”.  Several of the legislators asked pointed questions about the role of the Food and Drug Administration in the oversight of these types of pharmacies.  Guest will discuss issues raised at the hearing including the exact breakdown of how states and federal government oversee these industries.
