Republican Pollster Frank Luntz discusses his new book “Win: The Principles That Take Your Business From Ordinary to Extraordinary,” that describes what he says are the 11 most powerful words and phrases for 2011. He also declares which political party is winning the “message wars” heading into key budget talks to avert a government shutdown.

Randi Weingarten, American Federation of Teachers, President explains the impact of budget cuts on teachers, and how legislative effort to curtail unions’ bargaining powers affects teachers. She has protested recent government actions that affect teachers and union members in Wisconsin, New Jersey, Indiana and Rhode Island and called the pink-slipping of all Providence, RI, teachers "the most wrongheaded thing I have seen in a season of wrongheaded actions against American workers." She has also been supportive though of finding a middle ground to reward teachers based on performance and to adjust teacher seniority protections in way that she once resisted.

Sheila Krumholz, Center for Responsive Politics, Executive Director lists the large groups and individuals that are currently donating and spurring political movements and advertisements around the country, including a look forward to the 2012 election.
