Topic:  Senator Patrick Leahy’s new role as Senate President Pro Tempore following the death this week of Sen. Daniel Inouye (D-HI).  Leahy’s fellow Senators voted him into the position Monday night and he was sworn by Vice President Biden yesterday.  He is now the most senior member of the Senate, and his new position makes him third in line for the presidency.
