Washington, DC
Monday, December 13, 2010
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs expressed confidence in the government’s case for the so-called individual mandate in the new health care law. These remarks came after a ruling against the provision by a Federal Judge in Virginia. Several other courts have ruled in favor. Mr. Gibbs also said he expects the Senate to take up the START treaty on nuclear weapons after a vote on the tax cuts deal.
