Secretary of Energy Steven Chu (C-SPAN)
Following up on President Obama’s State of the Union Address, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke talked about the Obama Administration’s plan to spur job creation during an event at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, DC. He was joined by the head of the Small Business Administration as well the White House’s top two economic advisers.
In his address last week, the president laid out his plan to increase economic and job growth by “out-innovating, out-educating, and out-building the rest of the world.” In harmony with that goal, the national campaign will focus on encouraging “private sector investment in job-creating startups, accelerate research, and address barriers to success for entrepreneurs and small businesses,” according to the White House.
