Franklin Delano Roosevelt assumed the office of President
at the height of the depression. Since his death in 1945,
each succeeding president has had to deal with the legacy
of his four terms in office. Two Roosevelt scholars
discussed the relevancy of his presidency at the New York
Historical Society.
