Academy award-winning actress Mira Sorvino, United Nations Goodwill Ambassador on Human Trafficking, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton addressed an anti-human trafficking symposium, Wednesday.
The event, hosted by Georgetown University and Deloitte, focused on reengineering the fight against human trafficking.
Other notable speakers included: Acting Associate Attorney General Tony West; Ambassador Luis CdeBaca, ambassador at large for the Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons; and Sr. Counselor Alice Hill, senior counselor to the Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security.
Panel discussions examined prevention, prosecution and protection of victims, as well as private sector solutions, using data analytics and supply chain risk management to address the problem.
