The House Foreign Affairs Cmte, chaired by Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), investigated alleged criminal activity by North Korea.
Calling U.S. policy towards North Korea a "bipartisan failure," Chair. Royce seeks measures to prevent the Kim Jong-un regime from profiting from illicit activities, including weapons proliferation and the counterfeiting of U.S. currency.
Witnesses included: David Asher, non-resident senior fellow, Center for a New American Security; Sung-Yoon Lee, Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University; and Joseph R. De Trani, president, Intelligence and National Security Alliance.
