Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says Congress must act now to address cybersecurity because threats are only increasing.
The Obama administration is drafting an executive order to address threats against the nation’s cyber infrastructure but Napolitano says it isn’t the solve all. Napolitano spoke at Friday's National Journals Cybersecurity Summit in Washington, DC.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano urged lawmakers  to quickly pass cybersecurity legislation designed to strengthen both government and private computer defenses from attacks. She testified before the Senate Homeland Security Committee on the  Cybersecurity Act of 2012, bipartisan legislation that would give the Homeland Security Department power to identify vulnerabilities and set regulations requiring operators of critical networks to improve security or face penalties.
