Conservatives Discuss Conservation and the Environment

On Tuesday, the Conservation Leadership Council hosted a discussion focusing on environmental policy and conservation efforts. Speakers included former Interior Secretary and Colorado Attorney General Gale Norton along with former Governor of North Dakota and Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer.

Lynn Scarlett, a former Deputy Secretary of the Interior Department, moderated a panel discussion highlighting the conservative voice in regards to environmental stewardship.

In addition, during the event the Conservation Leadership Council released a set of policy papers focusing on such issues as water security, species protection and land management. All speakers are members of the council.
