On History Bookshelf, David Detzer talks about his book, “Donnybrook: The Battle of Bull Run, 1861.”
The book tells the story of the first major land battle of the Civil War.
The Battle of Bull Run, now at its one hundred and fiftieth anniversary, was fought in Manassas, Virginia and won by the Confederates.
It was at this battle where Colonel Thomas Jackson received his famous nickname, “Stonewall Jackson.”
