The American Enterprise Institute hosts a discussion on how school systems can implement the Common Core State Standards more effectively.
School Superintendents and other experts talk about how educators can best make use of new instructional tools, direct teaching and administrative talent to positively impact student's learning and also ensure the Common Core does not conflict with other reform efforts.
Participants include: Eric J. Becoats, superintendent of Durham Public Schools (NC); David Coleman of The College Board; John Deasy, Los Angeles Unified superintendent of schools; Elizabeth Celania-Fagen, Douglas County superintendent of schools (CO); and Joanne Weiss of the U.S. Department of Education.
Frederick Hess of AEI moderates the discussion.
